The 6th edition of India Refining Summit welcomes the think tank comprising of industry’s finest from Oil and Gas and
Petrochemicals Sector to exchange thought provoking ideas and pathways towards a Net Zero future of Refineries.
With the global movement against fossil fuels and pledge for net zero emission by 2070, the fossil fuel-based economic
model will shift towards adoption of clean energy to achieve scale. It would require refiners to fundamentally rethink
how refineries are designed and operated.
Green hydrogen will play a major role in achieving the net zero and decarbonising the hard-toabate sectors. India aims
to become a global hub for green hydrogen production and exports. India could easily create 5 million tonne green
hydrogen demand thereby replacing grey hydrogen in the refineries and fertiliser sector.
Indian refineries needs to spearhead petrochemical and lubricant integration leading to a diversified product portfolio
and attain profit maximisation.
In pursuit of decarbonising and diversifying the future of refineries, India Refining Summit 2023 invites the industry
stakeholders, thought leaders, policy makers and solution providers from India and overseas to discuss the imperatives
to achieve the Net Zero Targets for Indian Refining & Petrochemical Industry, latest projects, energy transition
endeavours, investments and government initiatives aiding the petrochemical sector, and new and emerging technologies to
create Smart, Diverse and Sustainable future. |
